Job Summary

Supporting Senior Finance Manager in coordination and preparation in the preparation of management reporting, financial analysis and key reporting deliverables (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and providing the necessary support in other related Finance functions such as analyst briefing, budgeting, audit, and other ad-hoc matters.

 

Job Responsibilities

PPB Group Berhad – Group Level

 

  • Preparation of monthly group executive summary and performance analysis, particularly subgroupof Leisure Group, Chemquest Group and Associates segments, and any other segments as and when required
  • Perform monthly financial analysis, including variance analysis against budget, prior periods and other relevant benchmarks.Coordinate with business units and internal Finance team members to obtain required information and ensure timely submission of deliverables
  • Support quarterly and year-end management reporting processes, including preparation of schedules, analysis and explanations for review
  • Assist in improving reporting templates, working papers and documentation to enhance consistency and efficiency
  • Supporting the preparation of Quarterly presentation slides to the Board of Directors as well as other relevant stakeholders
  • Supporting the preparation of reporting notes to Condensed Group Financial Statements quarterly
  • Supporting annual Group Budgeting, specifically on the sub-group of the Leisure Group, Chemquest Group and Associates segments, and liaising with other key business segments’ finance teams (good interpersonal skills).
  • Handle and perform various ad-hoc duties such as finance digitalization and transformation project(s) as assigned by the management.

 

Education & Qualification

  • Member of one of the professional accounting bodies (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA/MIA) is preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting and Finance and/or completed one of the Professional courses.

Relevant Experience & Years of Service

  • 5 Years in financial reporting, management reporting, consolidation, financial analysis, and audit.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, reporting processes and month-end / quarterend closing requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage recurring reporting deadlines.

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong financial analytical skills, excel abilities, PowerPoint presentation skills, and any other accounting software application (Sage, Controller, SAP, etc.).
  • Proficient in management reporting and financial analysis, with experience in preparing monthly management accounts, management reporting packs, Board / Senior Management reports, consolidation reporting and financial performance commentary.
