Associate Manager, Event & Experiential | Damansara Jaya, Selangor.

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

IP Events & Activations 

  • Manage and execute GSC-owned intellectual property (IP) events and on-ground activations.

  • Plan and execute events from conception to completion, aligned with objectives, requirements, and target audience.

  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure events are delivered according to approved plans.

  • Proactively identify risks and changes across project stages, driving timely solutions to ensure seamless execution.

 

Commercial Partnerships & Promotional Spaces

  • Develop, propose, and manage promotional spaces across GSC locations to maximise commercial impact.

  • Translate partner requirements into actionable plans and campaign packages.

  • Collaborate closely with designers and partners to deliver displays, projects, and activations that reflect GSC and partner branding.

  • Research and source suitable materials and products, considering safety, visibility, traffic flow, royalties, insurance, and customer experience.

  • Identify and engage reliable vendors and partners to support campaign delivery.

 

Visual Merchandising (VM) and Planogram Management 

  • Develop, propose, and implement VM and planogram solutions to enhance product visibility and drive sales.

  • Brief, obtain approval, and communicate proposals and solutions to relevant stakeholders.

  • Audit and monitor VM and planograms across cinemas to maintain standards and identify improvement opportunities.

 

Budgeting and Invoicing 

  • Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring adherence and timely planning so events run within approved limits.

  • Order and track event inventory, including collateral, giveaways, and materials.

 

Ad hoc duties as assigned 

 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Event Management or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in commercial activations, or event management; preferably in media, entertainment, or film distribution companies.

  • Proven experience in planning and executing large-scale events (e.g., sporting events, concerts, brand activations).

  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and brand presentation.

  • Commercially astute with a solid understanding of revenue generation, budgeting, and profit & loss considerations.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines effectively.
