Associate Manager, Media Sales

You will play an important role in:

  • Achieve personal and team sales targets in on screen advertising income, corporate sales and MPH. Handling of assigned company projects by selling, Cine ad and negotiating with ad agencies and advertising clients.
  • Manage portfolio of customers by acquiring new ones and retaining current one to ensure business continuity and growth
  • Provide Pre-Sales and Post-Sales support to the Sales Team that includes coordinating and ensure technical development /enhancement request is on track; which also includes providing requirement brief to IT and taking part in all UAT before the start of any deployment or campaign and keeping track of its progress.
  • Gatekeep all the Cine Ad, Partnership, Corporate sales processes including guidelines, voucher rate cards, distributors rate card, empty hall rentals rate card and hall booking packages for both GSC and Aurum Theatre.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Selling On Screen Ad, Brand Partnership & Corporate Sales 

  • Attend to enquiries from advertising & Hall booking clients and advertising agencies. 
  • Advocate as many as possible cinemas to be included in media plans. 
  • Negotiate for the best package to maximise ad spend with cinemas represented by the company.
  • Monitor media booking and consumption of bonus entitlement to ensure compliance of commitment and Company guideline.
  • Ensure that all media bookings are invoiced correctly. 
  • Attend check print QC with clients prior to ad screening dates.

2. Selling Media Power House (MPH)

  • Attend to enquiries from clients and media agencies.
  • Negotiate for the best package to maximise ad spend with cinemas represented by the company.
  • Monitor MPH booking and consumption of bonus entitlement to ensure compliance of commitment and Company guideline.
  • Ensure that all MPH bookings are invoiced correctly.

3. Managing and Servicing Corporate Key Account

  • Ensure the success of partnership with careful planning, recommendation, coordination, and execution of solution/activities proposed to partner as well as timely deliverables of results.
  • Maintain good relationship with all corporate partners, internal department, and external parties.

4. Support the Key Account Manager in the sales of Media Power House and other products and services to clients

  • Lead a team in fulfilment of enquires from clients and media agencies.
  • Ensure that deliverables from sales closed by the Key Account Manager and other Key Account Managers are delivered and fulfilled according to the contracts. Ensure the deliverables are managed and within the budget and scope of the sales contract.
  • Efficient management of the service delivery team.
  • Ensure that all sales bookings (e.g., MPH booking) are invoiced correctly.

5. Expand offerings to Existing Serviced Client

  • Assist Key Account Managers in regular presentation meetings to the client and media agencies, updating them with the latest info on cinemas, new locations, upcoming movies, and services.
  • Regular catch up with clients on project delivery (i.e., campaign status, what is working or not etc).
  • Look for inroads into existing clients serviced, and work with Key Account Manager on the upselling.
  • To operationalise delas that are closed based on contract scope of work.
  • Escalate potential higher value MPH deals to seniors to strategize sales management.
  • Manage the client relationship.

6. Innovative Media Plans

  • Propose new proposals or media selling, best suited to current market environment.

7. Establish Relevant Strategic Partnership

  • Build portfolio of premier top tier clients. Proactively identify & build relationships with potential clients to increase revenue and scale.

 

8. Expand Client Base

  • Regular presentation meetings to the media agencies/direct client updating them with the latest info on cinemas, new locations, new ad packages and upcoming movies.
  • Propose new proposals or media selling, best suited to current market environment.
  • Lead the Exec / Sr Exec to using the proposals and methods mentioned above.

9. Documentation and Payment Collection

  • Oversee the collection ensuring that no outstanding payment is due.
  • Remarks on outstanding and overdue payment, on the monthly AR report to finance and management.
  • Revert to Key Account Manager and management on payment issues, for next steps in collection to be taken.
  • Prepare and consolidate up to date Key Account reports, WIP report and any other necessary reporting as and when needed by the management on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. 

10. Production Control 

  • Check on quality of DCP received from production labs to ensure that the DCP conversion meets clients' requirements.
  • Attend check print QC with clients prior to ad screening dates.

 

What are we looking for:

  • Minimum Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Business Studies or its equivalent
  • Min 8 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the media agency/ hospitality industry.
  • Pleasant disposition with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative sales strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel
