Associate Manager, Promotion and Local Area Marketing (LAM) | Damansara Jaya, Selangor

 

Job Summary

  • The Associate Manager, Promotion & Local Area Marketing develops and implements marketing and promotions strategies to achieve company's vision & business goals by strategic planning, developing, supervising, implementation and analysis of Movies (Local and blockbuster), rewards driven movie promotions and Local Are Marketing promotions for GSC

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Development and Implementation of Objectives and Strategies for Movies (Local and Blockbuster) and Local Area Marketing Promotions

  • Manage budget to achieve company’s objective.
  • Spearhead movie promotions and strategy
  • Drive Admissions and Occupancy through promotions / LAM as a key priority.
  • Work with partners, distributors and suppliers in developing and implementing promotions to encourage more footfall (Admission) and sales for the company.
  • Plan and implement sustainable and timely initiatives to drive awareness, visibility, and traffic to cinemas

 

2. Execution of Campaign

  • Work with distributors, partners, cinema operations and marketing department to achieve flawless execution.
  • Develop creative ideas based on understanding of customer needs and behaviours.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations and experiential team to execute flawlessly.

 

3. Drive Communication of Promotional Programme

  • Work with department or inter-department stakeholders or external partners (Distributors, Potential Partners and others) to discuss topics such as budgets and marketing promotional plans.
  • Plan, track advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Assist in articulating and ensuring consistency of company and partner branding.
  • Work and coordinate with agency and inter-department stakeholders to plan, coordinate and co-drive on-ground events, arrangements, awareness, advertising, etc. for the brand.

 

4. Evaluation of Campaign Results and Target

  • Provide timely, comprehensive post-campaign reports with key learnings & recommendations for areas of improvements.

 

5. Analysis & Reporting

  • Keep abreast of current and future trends in branding, A&P as well as tracking of competitors and cinema industry progressions.
  • Analyse consumer behaviour and recommend tactical initiative to retain/revive customer base.
  • Ensure all budget tracking and archiving is done accordingly on a weekly basis.
  • Compile, archive and track performance of the current and past campaigns.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education & Qualification - Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant field under managerial role
  • Strong experience with product/brand marketing new initiatives (ATL, BTL, TTL)
  • Experience with cost/benefit analysis to demonstrate ROI/ROM
  • Solid understanding of cinema and entertainment industry trends.
  • Knowledge of movie marketing strategies, Local Area Marketing (LAM) and promotional campaign execution.
  • Familiarity with stakeholder management, agency coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
