Manager, Industrial Relations

Role Summary
Lead the Industrial Relations (IR) function across the Group, ensuring a consistent, legally compliant and business-aligned IR framework. Partner with business leaders and HR to manage employee relations risks and support sustainable business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive GSC-wide IR strategy, frameworks and best practices
  • Act as subject matter expert for complex IR matters
  • Manage end-to-end IR cases (disciplinary, grievances, misconduct, terminations)
  • Conduct and guide domestic inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws and regulations
  • Develop and standardise IR policies and procedures
  • Identify and mitigate IR risks
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and external parties
  • Manage external legal counsel and represent the company when required
  • Track IR metrics and provide insights for decision making
  • Deliver IR training and coach leaders on employee relations matters


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Law, Business or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in Industrial Relations, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role within IR
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and IR practices
  • Experience handling end-to-end IR cases and domestic inquiries
  • Experience in a group or complex organisation is an advantage
