Senior Executive, Finance | Damansara Jaya, Selangor.

Job Summary 

  • Oversee and manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations for Singapore entities, including daily accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination.

 

Job Responsibilities 

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Manage the full sets of accounts for Singapore, with potential expansion to include Malaysia entities in the future.
  • Perform accurate month-end and year-end closing including journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
  • Prepare and post sales invoices, credit notes, and vendor invoices.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, and intercompany balances across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Prepare financial schedules, management reports, and cash flow forecast to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain the fixed asses register and ensure proper accounting for additions, disposals, and depreciation.

Accounts Payable / Receivable Management 

  • Review and verify vendor invoices and supporting documentation prior to payment.
  • Process payments to vendors and employees in accordance with company policies.  
  • Prepare and issue Statements of Accounts (SOA) to customers and monitor collections to ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Taxation, Audit and Compliance

  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns for Singapore and when required; submit tax fillings for Malaysia.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual audit and tax computations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretarial departments in Singapore and Malaysia.

Operational and Administrative Support

  • Record and process monthly operating expanses such as utilities, rental, and administrative costs for Singapore and Malaysia entities.
  • Support continuous improvement in accounting workflows and internal control processes.
  • Participate in ad-hoc finance projects, system enhancements, and cross-border coordination initiatives as assigned.

 

Job Requirements 

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience in full sets of accounting or finance.
  • Working knowledge of Malaysia and/or Singapore accounting and tax requirements, with willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to Singapore occasionally (e.g. quarterly or as required).
