Job Summary

Responsible for analysing and optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and reducing downtime by implementing continuous improvement strategies, troubleshooting production challenges, and enhancing overall line efficiency. Work closely with different departments to identify improvement opportunities and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyse and monitor production line performance to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute initiatives that improve line productivity and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace, including investigate and report any workplace accidents or incidents.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Maintain accurate production reports and prepare and create SOP for production processes.
  • Investigate root causes of production issues (e.g., equipment failures, product defects) and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and guide production team members on efficient line operation, troubleshooting, and process improvement techniques.
  • Perform any other work or work as directed by the Production Manager or General Manager

 

Education & Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

 

Relevant Experience & Years of Service

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production or manufacturing role within the food industry.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Team and Words.
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing quality control systems and standards such as HALAL, HACCP, ISO 22000, GFSI and GMP.
  • In-depth understanding of food production processes, including knowledge of machinery, equipment, and production techniques.
  • Capability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of production staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Capability to enforce safety protocols and conduct safety training.

  • Strong ability to quickly identify problems, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to make informed and timely decisions that balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and senior management.
