Engineer, IT (SAP)

We are seeking an SAP IT Engineer to bridge business needs with technical solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders—including business process owners, key users, consultants, and project managers—to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
Responsibilities will include designing and implementing SAP modules tailored to business processes, troubleshooting system issues to ensure reliable operations, providing user training to enhance system adoption, and supporting SAP upgrades and enhancements.
Examples of projects may include master data maintenance for material, vendor, and customer records, managing change requests in compliance with established policies, and creating comprehensive documentation for IT solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP ECC or S/4HANA), strong problem-solving skills, and a background in IT or business process analysis.
 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Partner with SAP functional team and business process owners to design and implement effective SAP Solutions.
  • Conduct and support unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing as well as post implementation support.
  • Master data Maintenance for material, vendor and customer records, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and compliance to business standard.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT solutions, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications and users guide.  Ensure that documentation is accurate. Up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide 1st level SAP ERP application support and manage issue escalation to L2 and L3 team (SAP consultants)
  • Manage change request in compliance with established change management policies.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for the company’s culture and values both internally and externally.

Qualification, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) working in solutions architecture or application support, preferably with ERP systems.
  • Excellent in analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and ITIL
