Job summary

Drives sales, builds customer relationships, ensures product availability, executes promotions, and identifies new business opportunities. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and recommend service improvements to drive business growth.

  • Effectively negotiate and close sales deals while managing customer feedback and providing appropriate solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for product improvement or new product development by staying updated on industry and market trends.

  • Prepare sales quotations, proposals, reports and presentations in a timely and professional manner.

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in line with company objectives.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve better results, gather customer or prospect feedback and share insights with internal teams for continuous improvement.

 

Education & Qualification

  • Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science or a related field.

 

Experience & Years of Service

  • Proven experience as a Corporate Sales Executive, Key Account Executive or in a related sales role.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the Food Service or Food & Beverage industry.

  • Strong understanding of HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafe/Catering), Industrial or institutional channel is an added advantage

 

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

  • Product knowledge, skills and the ability to effectively present product features and solutions to customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Good understanding of sales, business acumen and negotiation techniques.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. 

  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or other Chinese dialects would be an added advantage to facilitate effective communication with Chinese-speaking principals and customers.
