Manager, IT Infrastructure and Operation

Job Summary

  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineer and support technicians.
  • Plan and implement cost-effective IT Infrastructure, including servers, networks to enhance the efficiency of IT Operations.
  • Stay current with technological trends and advancements, providing recommendations for technology adoption or upgrades.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the IT systems /Network are running efficiently, Securely and in alignment with the organization’s business objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including system/network backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Evaluate, negotiate, manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers and ensure the third-party services and products meet the organization’s requirements and standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations and procedures.
  • Manage IT support and help desk teams to address users issues and provide technical support
  • All employees are expected to demonstrate a flexible approach in the delivery of work within the department. They are required to be proactive members of the team and work closely with all other members to ensure both timely and best outcomes are achieved for all stakeholders.  To support this approach, all employees may be required to work with external and internal partners, work across formal lines of accountability and perform duties not specifically identified in the job description but which are in line with the general level of responsibility of the post.  Support ad-hoc project work and provide expertise where necessary as well as undertake any other assignments as may be assigned from time to time.


Person Specifications


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Relevant Experience & Years of Service

  • Proven experience (5 years) in IT infrastructure management, including experience in a leadership or management role.
  • 3 years of appropriate experience supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, storage technologies, cloud technologies and virtualization platform.
  • Experience in cloud computing and hybrid cloud computing.
  • A probing and analytical approach with the ability to pre-empt potential problems and identify inefficiencies.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Office 365

  • Good communication skills (oral and written) and able to communicate across a broad spectrum of users.
