Senior Executive, Security

Summary

The Security Executive will assist and support the Security Manager in the daily operations of managing a team of security guards comprising of in-house and outsourced guards. Responsibilities include ensuring security procedures are adhered to, providing training as required as well as ensuring security systems are maintained. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage a security team of 28 members comprising of in-house and outsourced guards, ensuring the team adheres strictly to security procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training and supervision of security staff.
  • Assist in leading, directing, and guiding the Security Supervisor in security operations, handling & managing if security team, prevention of security threats, incident investigation, reporting and other security related areas or scope.
  • Assist in training & implementation of Emergency Response Policy and Procedure for Security Team members, ensuring the entire team is well trained in responding to emergencies and alarms.
  • Assist in ensuring the effectiveness of security systems including CCTV systems, barrier gate systems, access cards readers, fire & alarms systems. This includes liaising with vendors, contractors, BOMBA to ensure that these systems are well maintained and functioning well.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for the company’s culture and values both internally and externally.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in any field and further education in Security Administration or similar field.
  • Minimum 2 years and above of experience in the security field.
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Exposure to relevant technology/equipment (eg. CCTV, alarm, security system etc)
  • Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate is required to be responsive on text/call as and when required. 

 

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

  • Technical skills and professional knowledge in the security field.
  • Able to monitor surveillance systems and respond immediately to emergency situations.
  • Knowledgeable in Visitor Management Systems (VMS) and care access software systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and internet navigation.
  • Strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety and security.
