Summary

  • To oversee and standardize engineering and maintenance operations across all farms, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency in alignment with Company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • To act as the technical authority at Head Office for farm maintenance matters, providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and continuous improvement initiatives to all farm maintenance teams.
  • To plan, monitor, and control preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs across farms to minimize downtime, optimize cost, and support uninterrupted farm operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • To oversee and coordinate maintenance activities for all farms, including utilities, machinery, buildings, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • To establish, review, and enforce preventive maintenance schedules, SOPs, and work standards across all farms.
  • To monitor equipment performance, breakdown trends, and maintenance KPIs, and recommend corrective and improvement actions.
  • To provide technical support and problem-solving for complex maintenance issues escalated from farm teams.
  • To coordinate with farm managers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers on maintenance works, repairs, and improvement projects.
  • To manage maintenance-related CAPEX and OPEX planning, budget monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • To oversee asset lifecycle management, including upgrades and replacements.
  • To ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. DOSH, BOMBA, local authorities) and support audits and inspections.
  • To prepare and consolidate maintenance reports, analysis, and recommendations for management review.
  • To provide guidance to farm teams on effective spare part inventory management.
  • To conduct performance reviews, training plans, and succession planning for Engineering teams.

 

Education & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional certification or competency certificates (e.g. DOSH-related, Chargeman, Boilerman) will be an added advantage.

 

Relevant Experience & Years of Service

  • Minimum 8–10 years of working experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably in farms, manufacturing, utilities, or industrial environments.
  • Experience overseeing multiple sites or locations is highly preferred.

 

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge in farm machinery, utilities, electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Experienced in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance management.
  • Familiar with maintenance planning, spare parts management, and contractor supervision.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations applicable to farm operations.
  • Able to analyze equipment performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficient in documentation, reporting, and maintenance record management.
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CMMS/SAP experience is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with local authority regulations (e.g., PBT, BOMBA, JTK, etc)
  • Display a high degree of accuracy, attention to details and the discipline to follow up outstanding matters.
  • Detail-oriented, good interpersonal skills, team player and possesses self-initiative.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and stakeholders.
  • Experienced in executing and improving procedures.
  • Able to engage in a professional and collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well verse in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CAD software. Experience in SAP environment, Microsoft Outlook, Team and OneDrive are an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
